HOUSTON (Monday, July 23, 2007) – TPC Group (TPC) recently announced the recipients of this year’s TPC Mark of Excellence Scholarship Awards.  Ms. Minh-Tho Le and Mr. Daniel Olvera, graduates of Chavez High School, will each receive a four-year, $20,000 scholarship for their demonstrated excellence in academics and commitment to pursue a higher education.  

The Company’s scholarship program builds on a solid foundation of community involvement and support for those who seek to improve and promote educational advancement, environmental responsibility and the overall well being of the community at large.  The program is designed to recognize two graduating seniors from Chavez High School that plan to pursue a degree in the engineering and sciences or liberal arts discipline.  TPC has worked closely with Chavez High School and has supported many of its programs since the school opened in August 2000.
